Playa Barranco Rubio, Dehesa de Campoamor

With a total length measuring 655 metres, Barranco Rubio is the longest beach on the entire Orihuela Costa, but it's not the largest. That accolade goes to neighbouring Playa de La Glea.

The beach receives the Blue Flag award year after year assuring the quality of the beach, with 30,785 metres of fine white sand and crystal clear Mediterranean bathing waters. A lifeguard service is offered during the summer season and the beach is well served by bars and restaurants.

Accessibility to Playa Barranco Rubio is good, with gentle slopes toward the fine sand permitting access by wheelchair users and families with push-chairs and younger children. However, parking can be problematic, particularly during the summer months.

Playa Cala Bosque, La Zenia

Cala Bosque Beach is a paradise for sunseekers and one of the most popular beaches in Orihuela Costa. Each year, tens of thousands of visitors soak up the sun and frolic in the crystal-clear Mediterranean waters that lap the sands.

Often referred to simply as "La Zenia beach", Cala Bosque offers a total length of around 350 metres and an average width of 60 metres to the shoreline. The beach is 100% pure white golden sand and Blue Flag accredited for exceptional quality.

Playa Cala Cerrada, La Zenia

Considerably smaller than neighbouring Cala Bosque, Playa Cala Cerrada is a cove-shaped beach that measures 143 metres at the waterline. That shape creates perfect conditions for surfing, and it's Orihuela Costa's only dedicated surfing beach.

Pure golden sands stretch from one end to the other, and the cove is flanked on all inland sides by a rocky cliff face that helps protect the beach from riptides and high winds. The Servigroup La Zenia Hotel overlooks Cala Cerrada beach to the south.

The beach is accessed via steps that lead down to the golden sands, and a ramp offers access for persons of reduced mobility. Adjacent to the ramp and above the beach, a Spanish "Chiringuito" beach bar provides light refreshments, a full bar service, and a range of snacks and light bites.

Playa de Punta Prima is a thin sheltered strip measuring 234 metres at the waterline, offering 6,552 metres of fine sand. The sand is less filtered than other neighbouring beaches, and it's not unusual to find small pebbles and shells adorning the beach at certain times of the year.

The Paseo Maritimo promenade wraps behind the beach providing a pedestrian and cycle route to neighbouring Cala Piteras beach to the north, and Playa Flamenca's beautiful beaches to the south of Punta Prima.
