Buying or selling, completing conveyancing during the coronavirus crisis
Is your property deal affected by the coronavirus crisis? We can help.
WITH RESTRICTIVE PUBLIC safety measures in force, many property owners on the brink of selling their property in Spain find themselves in the unfortunate position of now being unable to complete their sale.
The nationwide measures intended to protect the population by slowing the transmission of coronavirus have paralysed many businesses resulting in a lack of service, with some local and national companies forced to close down entirely.
The restrictions were introduced on Friday 13th March and they remain in effect until at least Sunday 10th o fMay, meaning that some property sellers will face great difficulty in completing their sale.
Moreover, it´s uncertain at this point how well some businesses will cope during the state of emergency, how long they will take to get back to normal after the special measures are relaxed, or whether some companies will recover at all.
In some cases, this has led to months of planning and preparation being put on hold, and with no end in sight, there´s a growing possibility that some property sales will fall through or fail to complete.
And property buyers can be just as equally affected by this continued uncertainty. Restrictions on movement and shortages of staff, in particular, can cause delays, incapacitate businesses, and interrupt the completion of a property purchase indefinitely.
Do you need to complete your property sale or purchase? We can still make it happen for you!
