Torrevieja III Tapas Route annual event, Saturday 29th September 2018
One special day of international tapas this weekend in the city of Torrevieja
TODAY ONLY you can enjoy a wide variety of authentic Spanish and international tapas during the third annual Torrevieja International Tapas Route.
One of the coastal cities most successful innovations and now in it's third year, the annual culinary event offers people the ability to sample beautifully presented food at prices that offer excellent value.
For this season a total of 23 revered local restaurants are taking part, with each restaurant offering two different tapas served with a small beer or soft drink for just €2.50 per tapa.
Dishes are available at lunchtimes (12:00pm until 4:30pm) and for evening dinner (7:30pm to 11:00pm), and present an opportunity for local restaurants to showcase their culinary skills, resulting in some ornate and beautiful dishes.
And unlike the earlier springtime event held in April, today´s Tapas Route is international in flavour, and city visitors can expect Indian dishes, Mexican food, Italian dishes, and specialty treats such as Japanese Sushi.
The Torrevieja Tapas Route event offers a fun and inexpensive way to spend an afternoon or evening, touring the centre of Torrevieja and discovering many of the hidden delights of the city.
It has quickly become a popular staple event that has been replicated across local communities throughout Spain, and it is always a success with both residents and tourists wherever it is held.
The route organisers have provided a leaflet with a map showing the route, available for download or from tourist information offices.
