What does a Real Estate Agent do all day?
“What does a Real Estate Agent do all day?" It´s a great question, what do out clients think about our job, how is our image perceived and what tasks are we faced with every day (that often go unnoticed!!)? Let´s have a little look at just some of our tasks this week.
- Organising visits with clients and home owners, including out of hours visits and weekends, because for many prospective buyers or homeowners working to their schedule is important and quite often viewings on Saturdays and Sundays are preferred. It can be a 24/7 job!
- Taking on new properties, including photography and video footage of homes, showcasing a property to the best of it´s ability can be a time consuming job but is well worth the results.
- Updating owners, providing feedback of their property and viewings.
- Following up on former clients and continual relationship building.
- Responding to enquiries from online users.
- Qualifying prospective buyers and informing and arranging of finance.
- Constant analysis of the local property market and variable factors.
- Full marketing and preparation of houses, including advertising, arranging of sales boards
- Data entry – LOTS!
- Co- ordination with all concerned parties for the closing of a transaction, document management and assistance at the Notary
- Training and attendance at seminars.
- Design of brochures, flyers, newsletters and numerous promotions
- Co-ordination of local companies such as locksmiths, decorators, builders, plumbers and so much more
- Blogging, social networking and managing online marketing
- Property management
- Change of ownership supplies Gas, Electricity, Water
- Assistance and conveyancing advice
Much of the real estate agents are very, very busy people, with intense professional activity and their common element: the passion for their work. A passion that guides them to provide useful services for people who rely on them.
