Property buyers choose the Costa Blanca´s Playa Flamenca
The market area of Playa Flamenca is a popular choice for people looking for a property in Spain. And who could blame them, with it´s close proximity to two fabulous fine sandy beaches, an exhaustive collection of essential local amenities, and with the vibrant city of Torrevieja just minutes away by car, the attraction of Playa Flamenca´s location is abundantly clear.
The coastal locality hugs the Mediterranean Sea on the shoreline running between Punta Prima to the north and La Zenia to the south, with the warm calm waters lapping the golden sands of Cala Mosca and Cala las Estacas beaches.
So it comes as no surprise that our latest intrepid property buyers chose Playa Flamenca as their new home on the Costa Blanca.
Travelling from Belgium, Maria and Dirk found their perfect property - a simply charming duplex penthouse apartment in Playa Flamenca´s market area (with a little professional assistance from our very own Jeremy of course).
Maria and Dirk can look forward to enjoying the extended summer here in Spain, which stretches on often long into late November each year. Of course they could choose to spend time in the large community pool or relaxing on their private rooftop solarium in the sun, and watching the market in full swing each weekend.
Playa Flamenca: the local Costa Blanca street market
Street markets are an accustomed tradition in Spain, and the Costa Blanca has at least one local market on every day of the week. The Playa Flamenca market takes place each Saturday at the southern end of Calle Nicolas de Bussi.
Hundreds of locals and tourists decend on the market every week, where it seems you can buy almost anything, from clothing and homewares, to toys and sunglasses.
Smallholding farmers, often family run provincial businesses, offer their vegetables at the Playa Flamenca market. Widely reputed to be the freshest locally procured food you can possibly buy, the short time between harvesting and delivery to market certainly ensures they are the most tasty and the most rewarding to cook with.
