Your place in the Costa Blanca sun: home or away?

When it comes to value, how does property
on the Costa Blanca measure up?

Our properties offer the perfect blend of high quality and great prices, but just how much value for money does an investment in property in Spain offer potential buyers right now - today?

To find out, we took a look around the web and put together this comparative case study to show you what a budget €120,000 can buy you across the European continent - from Ireland in the west, Sweden in the north, the United Kingdom, and the south Costa Blanca here in Spain.

Karlskrona is a small town in a southern province of Sweden. Located on the coast of the Baltic Sea, you will find this very pretty top floor apartment with 2 bedrooms, galley kitchen, closed terrace, and a large living area.

At a cool 1,250,000 SEK it sounds a little on the pricey side, but actually, a favourable exchange rate means this property is just a little outside our budget at €131,200.

The apartment benefits from community gardens, but sadly does without such luxuries as a swimming pool - or a beach for that matter. But would you fancy a dip in the Baltic Sea anyway? Possibly not your first choice.

It would be sincerely unprofessional of us to suggest that some estate agents might lack a certain degree of finesse when it comes to photographing properties, nonetheless we can see the potential that this townhouse possesses.

Located in south eastern Ireland on the coast of the Irish Sea, Wexford is a picturesque seaside town. This townhouse has 2 bedrooms, living room, a kitchen diner, and a small patio garden.

The home comes under budget at just €115,000 and although the town of Wexford does not have a beach, the property is located within walking distance of the harbour and the town centre.

This charming apartment is located in the prestigious seaside town of Whitby, in North Yorkshire. Priced at £110,000 it is a little over budget at €120,500 but still notably worth consideration if you are looking for a home by the sea.

The home offers an open plan horseshoe kitchen, a spacious living room, shower room, one main double bedroom and a box room. Recently refurbished, it would be suited to use as a holiday home or a long term rental investment.

The property is located within easy walking distance of the town centre, and Whitby's West Cliff beach. Although without Spain's beautiful weather and plentiful sunshine we're not entirely sure how much time you will be spending on it.

Just 700m from La Zenia's spectacular Blue Flag accredited white sandy beach you will find this beautiful townhouse. Part of a select community of Spanish properties that surround the central garden area, with a large swimming pool solely for residents use.

The home offers a large living and dining room, an American style open plan kitchen, master bedroom with private balcony, guest bedroom, and 2 bathrooms. A patio garden and covered dining terrace provide plenty of space to enjoy the fine weather all year round, and the apartment is centrally located to enjoy everything that La Zenia has to offer.

The townhouse is priced at just €119,950 and comes fully furnished, tastefully decorated with neutral decor, and features the added benefits of an average 320 days of sunshine every year, seemingly consistent cloudless blue skies, and a Mediterranean lifestyle.

We know which home we would choose, but what about you? Find out more about this property, just click here.
